Amaranthine 2012

I honestly was too lazy to go to prom this year. I didn't have the same excitement and joy that I had last year looking for the perfect dress.

It was a good decision to actually go! Batch 2013 especially the prom committee did a really good job! I'm so proud of you guys! The food was great btw! And the Cotillion was really malabo. -___- Nonetheless, Prom this year was great!

Here's my song for this year's prom and some of my pictures! :)

Cheers to you  Batch 2013! And to Batch 2012, we have done well! Love you all! xx

Honestly, I fell in love with this song because of the way Monchoy sings it. I swear, he makes the song sound a hundred times better.

Some of the pictures were taken by Audrey :) Love you girl! You looked great! x

What a cutie, Gelo fell asleep in the middle of everything. HAHAHA.

These two forever. HAHAHA And I even munched the screen for them. I just noticed that it was my wallpaper since I just left my phone on top of the table.

Prom Queen, Madam Aggy Albotra. Love you girl! Proud of you! You deserve it! ♥

Thank you for the gifts, Conrado. I really wasn't expecting it! :)

We gonna go all James Bond on you. *PEW PEW PEW*

Running Dead 2012 - A Race to Stay Alive

Running Dead 2012 isn't just any other ordinary fun runs. You'll be running alright. But you'll be chased by zombies. It's a 7k on and off road and is NOT a race for the faint-hearted. It's a race where you'll actually be FORCED to run faster.

It will also be for the benefit of graduating young athletes from the Super Tri Kids Program.

It's on April 21, 2012, Saturday and the gun-start will be at 5 pm
Target Participants of 1,000 to 1,100 max
Filinvest Alabang, Muntinlupa

This is how it works

1) Each participant will begin the race with life ribbons/tags

2) The participants will run a 7k obstacle course of rugged flags, inclines and obstacles. And the twist? the course will be infested with zombies trying to capture your life tags

3) Objective : you need to finish the race with at least 1 life tag

4) If you lose all your life tags, you can still finish the race but you won't win any prize

5) Racers are not allowed to push, punch or taunt the zombies. The zombies can't touch or push a racer. There will be a no rough-housing rule.

6) All participants have free entrance to the Running Dead after party

Prizes:

1st male and female : 10k
2nd male and female : 5k
3rd male and female : 3k

All qualified runners : A shirt, loot bags and they can also keep their brains.

There are also different kinds of zombies in the course. Watch out for them!!

Walkers : set the tone of the course. They shuffle and moan and move slowly and only grab a flag if you're very close

Startlers : they hide near obstacles and grab flags at bottlenecks on the course

Runners : their goal is to ensure that no one reaches the final stage with all flags intact

Elite : members of the national team who will make sure that your finish line sprint leads to a personal best

Sto. Nino Festival

Every 3rd weekend of February, Muntinlupa celebrates the Sto. Nino Festival. The Church is really near my grandparent's house so every time that it's Fiesta, we go there and watch the bands. Usually you'll see Tiangges and the mini-carnival that they set up there.

I miss waking up to the sound of the drums and to the kwitis that they light when I was little. It's the alarm that would wake me up telling me that the marching bands are coming. I'd wake up and take a bath and then run to the veranda and down to the street to meet up with my friends whenever it's that time of the year.

Another thing that excites me about it is the colorful outfits that the majorettes wear and how they can bear the heat and how they can walk so far for so long. But it has always been my dream to be part of the little girls who would march down the streets of the old Muntinlupa wearing those thigh high boots while swaying the batons to the music that the marching band would make.

Childhood memories would never fail to make me smile.

Photos from that day. :)

Condura Skyway Marathon 2012

Just for the record, I did not run! HAHA my friends kept on asking if I ran and that they didn't see me in the starting nor finish line. Well, after the CKSM even yesterday, my family went to Filinvest, Alabang where the starting line was.

The Condura Skyway Marathon: Run for the Mangroves is the first midnight marathon in the country! So here's a few shots before the race. :)

Sorry for the cheer fez. HAHA

Some of the murals in the event :)

At 12 AM , they lit the sky up with fireworks and it signalled the 42 km runners!

Next year, I promise I'll run! Time to train! :)
