Christmas Eve

Usually, my Christmas Eve is busier than Christmas Day. It's the day where we give away food for over 400 families (Time for Giving blog), go to my mother's side family over in BF and we usually have Christmas mass in Caleruega but not this year since we only went to mass in St. Jerome over in Ayala Alabang.

The giving of goods usually start at 3 PM. People usually gather in front of my grandparent's house by 2 and it can get really crowded and noisy.

Here's a little bit of history. ;)

My grandparents actually started this in1970 . They actually started just with 5 people and over time people knew about it and the number grew bigger. This year, we gave out over 450 bags to people who are mostly made up of neighbors, patients, family connections, workers for the family and also the less fortunate that we already helped out before through our school outreaches. It's made up of food that can be used for Noche Buena like a loaf of bread, evaporada, cheese, coffee, candies, meat loaf and noodles. The names of the recipients are actually registered and the tickets are given away a week before Christmas through my grandparent's assistants all over Muntinlupa. My siblings and I are usually the ones who repack everything and the ones who give them away so it's really something that we look forward to every Christmas.

Daddy hard at work. heehee.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ♥
